Prince of Tennis… After n years! X_X

Fufufu~ I finished the Prince of Tennis tv series last Friday. Whew! After a long time, I finally managed to. I kept pushing it aside because I got tired from watching too many of the tennis tournaments. If you watch it straight from episode 1 to about 70+, the tournaments will really get to your nerves. It’s like watching Full Moon o Sagashite with a single song playing a number of times in every episode. Know what I mean? That’s forgiven anyway because a series with lots of boys would mean possible YAOI pairs. 
When I watched from about episode 160 to the end, I kind of regretted not watching it earlier. The filler episodes are hilarious. I did mention this in my blog about the obvious hints of InuKai, TezuFuji, OishixKikumaru (or vice-versa), andmy favorite pair TezuRyo. 
The yaoi fangirl in me is finally very satisfied with the series. *rofl* I enjoyed all the chibi, prince-of-various-sports, and other extra episodes. They were good enough to make one forget tennis for a little while. SD-Tezuka is so OOC XD And Oishi acting as the mother is extreme CRACK! 
I wasn’t very happy with the ending though because it sucks Ryoma wouldn’t be able to play in the Nationals. But, you know, the only fortunate thing for finishing watching the tv series just recently is that the National Chapter OAV is already showing. That means I would see right away what happened after Ryoma left for the US Open. I’d go on, but discussing about the OAV should go to a different post.
This is the longest anime I have ever seen. (I would say Ranma 1/2, but I’m pretty sure I missed a lot of its episodes or a season.) Prince of Tennis will be my first favorite sports anime in my list.

Oh, I have yet to see Ryoma grow a little bit. Even only a few centimeters maybe.

Seigaku vs. Champion Rikkaidai — I’m Going to Win!!
Forgive theyaoiPoT-deprived fangirl in me. I forgot when was the last time I’ve watched/read anything PoT-related. *glomps Meg* Thanks!
Not much of a cliffhanger… Just like the previous matches, there are always late Seigaku regulars. It’s Kaidoh and Momoshiro this time. Who prioritizes a date over the tennis finals? J/k! I know it’s KaidohxInui or InuixKaidoh, but who wouldn’t imagine these two boys together? How come Kaidoh was fidgeting with the phone cord when he called Momo? 
Nervous to call a doubles partner for practice?
There seem to be a lot of potential pairing in this episode. Let’s see… TachibanaxFuji, SanadaxYukimura, SANADAxECHIZEN (!!!), and MomoshiroxKaidoh. Echizen’s perfect for a shota-uke role (blame his kid-like look compared to his teammates). Too bad for Tezuka… He should come back soon, so he could steal Echizen from Sanada. XD

I’m almost catching up to where I left off in the manga. I already know the results of the first match. I can’t wait for the other matches then. I thought Ryoma beat Atobe during their practice, but if Tezuka can match up to this guy… Then it’s still early for him. I wonder if they will have a rematch in the near future. (Actually, I just want to see an older version of Ryoma competing against Atobe. Puhaha~)
