Akane Maniax
Akane Maniax Ep. 2-3

This show is just so wrong. They could have made a proper sequel to Kimi ga Nozomu Eien since I liked that series (except for the ugly sex scene if you could even call it that!). Akane might have benefitted something from Gouda Jouji’s extreme optimistic attitude, but that sudden dramatic outburst of hers to Jouji was very unexpected. She might have reached her limit, yes, that is possible. Though it could have been more believable if she did it in an angry manner. I mean, Jouji’s annoying as heck. Jouji’s imagination — his conscience and the mecha stuff — are funny, but not as funny School Rumble. What an unfair comparison no? How things ended was somehow good. Akane falling in love with Jouji might make me destroy my monitor (or my dad’s monitor, for that matter, because I was using his computer at that time). It would prove that Akane’s weak and how much this OAV really sucks.
I don’t think I should blog here when I’m in a not-so-good mood.

Akane Maniax Ep. 1 - Jouji goes to Hakuryou

I’m surprised that Kimi ga Nozomu Eien’s sequel turns about to be a romance-comedy. It’s about Akane this time. She’s the younger sister of the girl who got into an accident and was in a deep coma for years. Gouda is a transfer student at Hakuryou High. On the first day of school, he falls in love-at-first-sight with Akane. He does everything he can to please her and prove his feelings to her, but she only finds him annoying.
Gouda’s imagination is wild. His daydream of a love confession with Akane seemed too perfect, so he spiced it up by adding some “mecha effects.” @_@ I thought I downloaded a mecha anime when it was just imagination. Damnit. Just an imagination! ~__~ The rest of the characters still look like “Kimi ga” while Gouda is like a Saint Seiya character. His hair and fashion is so old-skool. Fortunately, there’s Gouda in the story. I can’t stand Akane. She’s melodramatic.
