Yakumo Tatsu (Eight Clouds Rising)

Talk about shounen-ai hints… T_T I watched this because of so far who lent me her copy. The video we have is in mkv format. My mkv player doesn’t have the “easy frame capturing” feature. I’m too lazy to figure out how to solve that, so I’ve no caps for this one.

Nanachi goes out-of-town with theater groupmates for a play research. On the day of their arrival, it was the town’s festival and they had witnessed a miko’s dance (actually, I’m not sure what was going on… *sweatdrop*). They find out later on that the miko is actually a guy and does possess spiritual powers. After a family ritual held every 49 years, the nen around them was suddenly disturbed and had escaped (from something; the subs weren’t helpful! ARGH!). Kuraki had only one of the 7 swords that could help seal the nen and it seems Nanachi was just right on time for also bringing his grandfather’s important memento.

I was starting to enjoy Kuraki’s mean character, but when he had to decapitate his father he got all nervous and afraid. It somehow destroyed his image as much as I understand his feelings then. His being an evil shaman is only partially true. The ending shows a possibility of this two hitting it off. XD Luckily, Kuraki’s got a sister who’s _supportive_ of them. *rofl*

*choke* I was drinking a glass of water while reading this and when i got to the last part I nearly choked! Whadya mean ‘hitting off’.. I mean I did see a few shounen ai hints, but I don’t remember anything like that in the ending.. the most obvious hint was when Yasuko told Nanachi that Kuraki was being mean to ‘get his attention’.. that made me think, but it’s around the middle of the show…
