Elfriede got a chance to “drink” Kouhei’s blood. He didn’t become her slave though and sees this as a start of rivalry between her and Hazuki — whoever becomes the vampire’s lover.
Kouhei tells Hazuki not to rely on her powers to get what she wants. She quarreled with him, but did things Kouhei told her to prove to him what he said was wrong. In the end, she learned her lesson.
I’m not sure of the vampire lover thing, but I think that whoever becomes the lover will be set free of being a vampire. Kouhei’s clumsy, but I don’t think it would be easy for any of them to get his “loving” attention. Hazuki’s still a brat.

They thought they finally found Hazuki’s mother. Hazuki went off to go to her, but was only kidnapped. It’s up to Kouhei and his grandfather to save Hazuki.
So, Kouhei’s blood did free Elfriede from her master, Count Kinkel.
