Episode 28

Today, the most unlucky people are all you Virgos out there… Today you die! ^_^ *lol* It’s Kondo’s unluckiest day ever! Matsudaira takes him to visit Tendoshun to the incident at Rengokukan. Although the Rengokukan’s motives are bad, it is supported by those. This wasn’t very good news for Kondo and their trip to Tendoshun didn’t give him to calm down for even just a minute. *lol*
The Yorozuya, Otose-san, and Otae-san among others make quick appearances in this episode. They’re not entirely related to the story anyways. Their quick appearances mean they just happen to be where Kondo, Matsudaira, and Sa-chan pass by. ^_^ Kondo keeps getting pointed with a gun, beat up, shot at, etc. Tendoshun somehow forgave them for what happened at Rengokukan, but I don’t think they’ll be free if it happens again. So… I thought he survived the day, but I thought wrong. Kondo sees Otae-san with Kagura. He rushes to her, trips, and accidentally hits Otae-san’s head. ^_^ It’s up to our imagination what would happen next. *lol* Hmm… Will this be the last time we’ll Kondo?

At episode 28, it’s good that the art and humor doesn’t degrade. I’m sure the humor won’t and I hope the art would stay the same. Other anime’s animation tend to suck once it’s past maybe 10 or so episodes.

Episode 29

There are two stories in this episode. The first is about Gankeimaru, an alien, who is after the strongest sword on earth — a samurai blade that can cut stars. This alien overhears about Gintok’s wooden sword. It isn’t Gintoki’s fault though. Kagura went out to have the wooden sword pawned, but no one wanted it. She got pissed off and vented her anger by hitting a wooden bridge a lot of times with it. This Gankeimaru attacked her and wanted the sword. She couldn’t give it to him because she thought she won’t be like Gintoki who took her “prized possessions” (they’re actually unpaid TV shopping items *lol*) and that she would return the wooden sword. Being a member of the known strongest clan, of course, she defeats the sword thief.

It’s not always “happily ever after” in this series. ^_^ I won’t disclose what happens in the end. I could say though that Kagura’s good intentions were for nothing.

The second half of this episode is about the huge cockroaches all over Edo. This is the fault of Prince Hata (they usually call him Prince Baka) who used to take care of Gorou, the queen cockroach, but it escaped from its cage. He claims that it doesn’t seem to like him anymore. Kagura’s the first to see one in the Yorozuya.Kagura and Shinpachi kept saying saying various English words when they’re just trying to say ‘Help Me’. XD The best would be Shinpachi’s ‘HERPES, HERPES ME!!!” *roflmao*

Gintoki found Gorou in Kagura’s sleeping area. He didn’t know it was the queen, so he threw it away. When he found out through Shinpachi that killing it would save them, he realized he had brought doom to earth.

Who’s the hero in this episode then? ^_^ The problem ends quickly because of Sadaharu that killed Gorou in an instant. There wasn’t anymore scenes as to what happened to the cockroaches after. That would have been good to see. Would they disappear like ghosts or fly off somewhere? ^_^ If the manga didn’t really have an ending to this, I guess the mangaka found it too bothersome to think about. *lol* Or it could be that the ending’s too obvious there’s no need to draw it anymore? @_@;;;

Episode 30

Terakado Otsuu is threatened and she’s being told to keep away from her boyfriend, GOEMON, who’s the Handsome leader. The only thing that’s hilarious in this episode is Gintoki and Kagura’s frequent character imitations. Gintoki imitates mostly detectives/investigators while Kagura does random characters like Nakamura Yukie’s roles in Trick and Gokusen (she even did them both at the same time *lol*).

Episode 31-32

These are only episode 31 screenshots:

Gintoki loses his memory and he’s been acting completely OOC. Only Otae-san is happy about this. ^^; Kondo-san, who’s still alive after all, is back and loses his memory as well after eating Otae-san’s tamagoyaki. They’re that bad. ^^; Kagura and Shinpachi tries everything to recover Gintoki’s memory. In the end, Gintoki left them and decided to live a new life. He thinks that his old self isn’t really a good person and he doesn’t want to be like that anymore.

Episode 31 was kind of sad. I watched it when episode 32 wasn’t released yet, so the ending’s a bad cliffhanger. Tsk. The following episode was good though. They didn’t prolong that amnesia thing. The show’s still funny, but it’s not the same when Gintoki’s all serious like that. XP
What triggered Gintoki’s memory is the presence of Shinpachi, Kagura, and the feeling of fighting, imo. When he left Kagura and Shinpachi, he worked in a factory where they make Justaways. One of the Shinsengumi guys, Yamazaki, started working there too as an undercover because of news that the company boss is up to something. The other Shinsengumi are also busy looking for Kondo who disappeared after the incident at Otae-san’s house. ^_^; Yamazaki found Kondo who’s actually working in the factory too. Kondo was forced to go with Yamazaki back to Shinsegumi. One Justaway was thrown by accident or not, that we don’t know, and it exploded. That means all the time they were making bombs. ^_^;

Gintoki saves the day. It was all good for Yorozuya, but not for the Shinsengumi. Kondo’s still got amnesia.
